Event Overview

The international workshop “Parenting and Culture: Cross-Cultural and International Migration Perspectives” will take place on May 9-10, 2025, hosted by the Department of Psychology. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. This two-day event, organized in a hybrid format (both in-person and online), aims to bring together scholars, professionals, and researchers to foster meaningful dialogue on key issues surrounding parenting in diverse cultural and migration contexts.

The workshop will explore how parenting practices are shaped by cultural norms, migration experiences, and transnational influences. It will provide a unique platform to share cutting-edge research, practical experiences, and innovative approaches.

Participation is free of charge, and the event encourages broad involvement from around the world.

General Program

The mornings will be dedicated to presentations by eminent keynote speakers, while the afternoons will be devoted to oral presentations of scientific studies, clinical experiences, and fieldwork related to the two themes.

Social Dinner – May 9, 2025

social dinner will be offered to in-person participants on the evening of May 9th in Pescara. A bus will transport attendees from the university to the restaurant and back. The menu options include seafood, meat, vegetarian, and special dietary needs (though we cannot guarantee all requests can be met).
